Key responsibilities for this role include:
- The Great Plains district includes key markets in the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska.
- Develops, enhances, and increases regional sales performance to meet or exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; ensures corporate sales and marketing direction is executed within a geographic area; implements regional and/or district sales strategy (business plan) through the team.
- Develops and maintains solid customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; responds to customer needs professionally and timely; conducts account reviews; monitors product usage and purchasing patterns; updates contract information as required.
- Provides regular, candid, and timely feedback to sales representatives; identifies performance challenges early and creates plans to address gaps; works with sales director(s) and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyzes and evaluates team performance, sales figures, and territory data; tracks and reinforces measures of sales force effectiveness (e.g., reach and frequency, adherence to strategy, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruits and retains top talent; coaches and counsels direct reports to maximize performance, accountability, and professional development.
- Performs business in compliance with applicable company policies and procedures; ensures sales representatives’ compliance; reports noted/observed violations to management; demonstrates high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicates with supervisor and direct reports; maintains open communication; shares “Best Practices” across the region; liaises with home office/region to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Assesses organizational change management needs and applies tools to manage change impact.
- Creates a high-performance team environment that values development and accountability; fosters a solution-oriented vision with both strategic focus and immediate results.
- Exercises fiscal control on allocated operating budgets.
- Takes direction from Regional Director regarding marketing/standards and ensures it is cascaded and followed by sales teams.

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of experience/education considered).
- Must live in the applicable geographic district.
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Preferred: prior successful pharmaceutical or healthcare Sales Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience.
- Ability to travel 60–70% (includes overnight travel).
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Authorization and ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English.

Compensation:
- Salary range: $124,000–$186,000 (varies by skills, experience, and location).
