Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet annual Company sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales/marketing direction within the geographic area.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage; update contract information as required.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team and sales performance using territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach, counsel, and mentor direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Company policies and procedures; maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; foster open communication; compile/exchange district “Best Practices”; liaison with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impact.
- Create a high-performing team environment; eliminate barriers; drive both long-term strategy and immediate results.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade Regional Director direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (equivalent education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Ability to travel 60–70% (overnight travel included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record; authorized ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or approved rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience.
Compensation (Salary Range): $148,000–$222,000.
