Key responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; execute district sales strategy (business plan) through the team.
- Develop and maintain solid customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges early and create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to termination.
- Analyze team performance and sales/territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, adherence to strategy, tactical implementation, proper use of funds, systems, and tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach/counsel direct reports to motivate high performance, accountability, and professional development.
- Perform company business in compliance with Company policies/procedures; ensure ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director/direct reports; facilitate “Best Practices” across the district; liaise with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impact.
- Create a high-performing team environment; manage fiscal control on allocated operating budgets.
- Take other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience preferred (medical devices or other healthcare products also preferred).
- Ability to travel 60–70% (overnight travel included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record; authorization to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
Salary range: $148,000–$222,000.
