Key responsibilities for this role include:
- The New Orleans district includes key markets in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet annual Company sales and market share objectives; implement district sales strategy/business plan through the team.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information as required.
- Provide timely feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges early and create plans to address gaps; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team/sales performance and territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach/counsel direct reports for accountability, performance, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Company policies/procedures and demonstrate high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; promote best practices across the district; liaise with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess and manage organizational change management needs.
- Create a high-performing environment; drive immediate results with long-term strategic focus.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; follow and cascade direction from Regional Director.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of experience/education considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior District Manager experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales (medical devices or other healthcare products preferred).
- Ability to travel 60β70% (overnight travel included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driverβs License and acceptable driving record; authorization to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
Exact compensation: $148,000β$222,000 salary range (varies by skills, experience, location).
