Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow district sales performance in the Mid-Atlantic district (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia) to meet/exceed annual sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales/marketing direction.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and update contract information.
- Provide timely feedback to sales representatives; identify performance gaps early and create corrective plans; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to termination.
- Analyze team and territory sales performance; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach and counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and the team; share “Best Practices” across the district; liaison with home office to identify and resolve issues.
- Apply change management tools as needed.
- Create a high-performing, accountable team environment; manage operating budgets and cascade regional direction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior District Manager experience in pharma/healthcare (medical devices or other healthcare products preferred).
- Travel 60–70% (overnights included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License; acceptable driving record; authorization/ability to drive company leased or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
