Mid-Atlantic District Sales Manager
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales and marketing direction via the team.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and update contract information as required.
- Provide timely feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges early; create plans to address gaps; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team and territory/sales performance; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical execution, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach and counsel direct reports to ensure accountability, maximize performance, and support professional development.
- Ensure compliance with company policies/procedures; model high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; share best practices across the district; serve as liaison with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess and apply organizational change management tools to manage change impact.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets.
- Take direction from Regional Director regarding marketing/standards and cascade to sales teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (education/experience combination considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior District Manager experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales (medical devices/other healthcare products preferred).
- Travel 60β70% (overnight travel included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driverβs License and acceptable driving record; authorization to drive company leased vehicle or authorized rental.
- Proficient in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
Compensation:
- Salary range: $148,000β$222,000 (exact compensation varies by skills, experience, and location).
