Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet or exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; implement district sales strategy through the team.
- Build and maintain solid customer relationships with key executives, decision influencers, and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage; update contract information as required.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team and sales performance using territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds, systems, and tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach/counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Company policies and procedures; maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; foster open communication; share “Best Practices”; serve as liaison with home office/district to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impacts.
- Create a high-performing team environment; exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of experience/education considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare product sales experience preferred.
- Ability to travel 60–70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record; authorization to drive a Company leased or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English required.
