District Manager, Pain - Houston

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; implement district sales strategy through the team.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key executives, decision influencers, and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges early and create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team and sales performance using territory data; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach direct reports for high performance and accountability; counsel and support professional development.
- Conduct business in compliance with applicable Company policies and procedures; maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; share best practices across the district; serve as liaison with home office and district to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impact.
- Create a high-performing team environment emphasizing professional development and accountability; drive immediate results with a long-term strategic view.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade Regional Director direction within sales teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience.
Required Skills/Other Requirements:
- Travel 60β70% (includes overnight travel).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driverβs License and acceptable driving record; authorization to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English.
