Key responsibilities:
- The Houston district includes key markets in Texas and Louisiana.
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet or exceed annual sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales and marketing direction; implement district sales strategy through the team.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key executives, decision influencers, and decision makers; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information as required.
- Provide regular feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to and including terminations.
- Analyze team and territory performance (sales figures and territory data); track sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach and counsel direct reports to maximize performance and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with applicable company policies and promote high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; compile and share best practices across the district; serve as liaison with home office to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess organizational change management needs and apply tools to manage change impact.
- Create a high-performing, accountable team environment; foster a solution-oriented, winning vision; balance long-term strategy with immediate results.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets; cascade direction from Regional Director (marketing, standards, etc.).
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical or healthcare product sales management experience (combination of experience/education considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience (medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience preferred).
- Ability to travel 60β70% (overnight travel included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driverβs License with acceptable driving record.
- Authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing).
Compensation:
- Salary range: $148,000 - $222,000.
