Key Responsibilities (Great Lakes district: Michigan, Indiana, Illinois):
- Develop, enhance, and increase district sales performance to meet/exceed annual Company sales and market share objectives; execute corporate sales/marketing direction and district sales strategy.
- Build and maintain customer relationships; respond professionally and timely; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide regular, candid feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance gaps early and create plans to address them; work with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to terminations.
- Analyze team and sales/territory performance; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical execution, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach and counsel direct reports to drive high performance, accountability, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies/procedures; uphold high ethical and professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; share “Best Practices” across the district; liaise with home office/district to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Apply organizational change management tools to manage change impact.
- Create a high-performing team environment; foster solution-oriented execution and strategic/long-term focus with immediate results.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (or equivalent combination).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Preferred: successful pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience.
- Travel 60–70% (overnight travel included).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License; acceptable driving record; ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
