District Manager, Eye Care Surgical (Xen)

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to promote AbbVie’s Xen Gel stent in the refractory glaucoma market.
- Oversee district sales results, including interviewing, selection, and development of Account Consultants.
- Manage district customer-facing activities to develop and maintain relationships with compliance.
- Accomplish district objectives and support franchise short- and long-term strategy, tactical execution, promotional initiatives, and meeting/exceeding regional and business unit goals.
- Consistently attain growth and market share goals while managing expenses.
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, and performance-manage the assigned district; coach and counsel to build selling and account management skills.
- Drive field execution of marketing plans; act as product strategy area expert and provide feedback.
- Proactively develop and manage EC relationships with physicians, practices, and accounts; implement account plans and optimize resources.
- Develop and implement improved district procedures and practices.
- Lead needs-based account selling; provide leadership in KOL promotional programs and key account management.
- Lead and motivate others to achieve district goals; support sales and meet/exceed business goals.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; MBA preferred.
- 5–7+ years of healthcare, buy and bill, or device sales experience required; sales leadership experience.
- Business analysis and planning skills driving sales performance.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making; ability to influence without authority.
- Ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments/therapeutic areas.
- Proven ability to deliver effective feedback and manage performance; ability to develop talent.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
- Travel at least 75%; attend scheduled training and sales meetings (overnight).
- Drive personal or company vehicle/equipment.
- Satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses).
