Field-based role. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (Philadelphia, Allentown, and Lancaster PA; Eastern Shore of Delaware).
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate in-field activity with in-field teams to achieve targets and increase sales in an assigned geography.
- Create, implement, and communicate the District Sales Plan; monitor progress.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day and long-term business execution; set tone and pace for business process and organization.
- Lead teams using a market and franchise/business point of view; develop mastery of product and disease state information and market dynamics (including Managed Care).
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members; hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations.
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in the business planning process; consistently exemplify the AbbVie Ways of Working.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field (preferred) or relevant/equivalent industry experience (required).
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
- Proven District Manager leadership: in good standing with safety and compliance standards; minimum four years pharmaceutical sales management experience; meeting performance expectations; demonstrates Leadership Attributes.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making; ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas.
- Ability to deliver candid feedback, manage performance, and develop talent for promotional opportunities.
- Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement.
- Satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements for entry into facilities in assigned territory (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and required state/city licenses); must be in good standing/eligible.
- Ability to drive (personal auto/company vehicle) and operate powered equipment; valid driverโs license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
