This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (geography: areas surrounding Philadelphia, Allentown, Lancaster, PA; Eastern Shore of Delaware).
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results and agreed-upon targets; maximize market, segment, and team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day and long-term business execution; set tone and pace for business process and organization.
- Lead teams and champion in-field meetings using mastery of product and disease-state information and market dynamics (including Managed Care landscape).
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members; hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations.
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in the business planning process; exemplify the AbbVie Ways of Working.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health sciences/pharmacy/business (preferred) or relevant and equivalent industry experience (required).
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
- Proven District Manager leadership: in good standing with safety and compliance; minimum four years pharmaceutical sales management experience (external management experience may be considered); meeting performance expectations; demonstrates Leadership Attributes.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making; ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments/therapeutic areas.
- Ability to provide candid feedback, manage performance, and develop talent.
- Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement.
- Satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry into assigned facilities.
- Ability to drive a personal or company vehicle or powered equipment; valid driverโs license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
