Responsibilities:
- Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results and agreed-upon targets; maximize market/segment/team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day and long-term business execution; set tone and pace for business processes.
- Lead teams with a market and franchise/business point of view by developing mastery of product and disease-state information and market dynamics (including Managed Care).
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members; hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations.
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in the business planning process; exemplify the AbbVie Ways of Working.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field (preferred) or relevant/equivalent industry experience (required).
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
- Proven District Manager leadership: in good standing with safety and compliance standards; minimum four years pharmaceutical sales management experience (external management may be considered); currently meeting performance expectations; demonstrates Leadership Attributes.
- Excellent judgment/decision-making; ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments/therapeutic areas.
- Proven ability to deliver candid feedback, manage performance effectively, and develop talent for promotional opportunities.
- Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement.
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned territory (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses).
- Ability to drive personal auto or company vehicle/equipment; valid driverโs license; able to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
