Position Summary
Director, Worldwide (WW) Autoimmune Cell Therapy Medical Affairs β lead WW medical strategy for early CAR T assets in development for autoimmune disease and drive execution of key zola-cel strategic initiatives; partner cross-functionally (Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access, HEOR) to advance assets through governance milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of WW autoimmune cell therapy medical affairs strategy (annual/quarterly planning, cross-functional alignment, governance support).
- Drive coordinated execution, decision-making, and operational excellence across priority initiatives.
- Lead external scientific/clinical engagement (advisory boards, scientific forums, medical affairs programs) with compliant scientific exchange; translate insights into medical and development strategy, lifecycle planning, and indication readiness.
- Develop external medical education and capability-building initiatives for cell therapy in autoimmune disease management.
- Shape and execute evidence generation plans (investigator-sponsored research, collaborative studies).
- Incorporate patient perspective via patient insights, advocacy engagement, and unbranded educational initiatives supporting awareness, access, and the patient care journey.
Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced scientific/medical degree (DO, MD, NP, PA, PharmD, PhD).
- 5+ years in pharma/biopharma industry or clinical practice.
- Advanced understanding of drug development and healthcare/pharmaceutical industries.
- Strong matrix leadership; manage multi-functional teams and external agencies.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, listening, problem-solving, prioritization.
- Excellent planning/organization; ability to work under pressure and maintain scientific excellence.
- Confidentiality/integrity; represent high ethics and professionalism.
- HQ-based; global travel up to 25%.
