Director/Associate Director, Thought Leader Engagement β Head & Neck Oncology
Role Overview:
Field-based marketing role developing and leading strategic engagement with Head & Neck Oncology Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Medical Experts (MEs), and other key influencers across the United States to support the potential launch of petosemtamab. Reports to the Head of Thought Leader Engagement β Head & Neck Oncology and partners with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Medical Affairs. Delivers a KYSO (Knock Your Socks Off) customer experience through a coordinated One Genmab engagement model.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead national thought leader engagement strategy for pre-launch and potential launch of petosemtamab.
- Build and maintain relationships with national/regional Head & Neck Oncology KOLs, Medical Experts, and stakeholders.
- Monitor oncology landscape and identify clinical/scientific/market trends affecting adoption.
- Serve as primary Genmab contact for KOLs/MEs/influencers.
- Plan and execute engagement at major oncology/Head & Neck scientific congresses and conferences.
- Identify, recruit, train, and evaluate speaker bureau members per policies and regulatory requirements.
- Gather and synthesize thought leader insights to inform brand strategy, launch planning, and execution.
- Establish processes to share field insights with cross-functional stakeholders; facilitate alignment.
- Lead initiatives and manage priorities, timelines, agency partners, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with Genmab policies and legal/regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 10+ years (Director) or 8+ years (Associate Director) relevant pharma/biotech experience.
- Significant oncology experience in marketing, sales, account management, thought leader engagement, medical affairs, or similar customer-facing roles.
- Proven relationship-building with senior external stakeholders (KOLs/MEs).
- Ability to gather/synthesize/translate insights into actionable strategy.
- Knowledge of oncology commercialization and customer engagement (academic/community roles).
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship management, and executive influence.
- Understanding of legal/regulatory/compliance for HCP engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, partners, timelines, and budgets in a fast-paced launch environment.
- Travel ~50%β60% (overnight and occasional weekends).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA/MS/PharmD/PhD or similar).
- Direct Head & Neck Oncology experience (incl. head and neck SCC).
- Established KOL/ME relationships in Head & Neck Oncology.
- Prior thought leader engagement/liaison/KOL engagement field marketing experience.
- Oncology launch/pre-launch experience.
- Experience with promotional speakers, advisory boards, congress engagement, peer-to-peer education.
- Knowledge of Head & Neck treatment pathways and care/referral networks.
- High-growth/emerging biotech experience.
