Key Accountabilities / Core Job Responsibilities
- Define and implement lab automation strategy to support manufacturing scalability.
- Lead lab automation with data systems to reduce deviations.
- Identify and assess opportunities for lab automation and digital applications to increase throughput, efficiency, and robustness of processes and analytical methods across Tech Ops.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to Tech Ops Leadership and SLC Site Leadership to leverage automation for enhanced operational strategies.
- Partner with IT, Quality, and Tech Ops leadership to select, define system requirements for, and deploy automation solutions within the compliance framework; manage the solution portfolio as needs evolve.
- Collaborate with IT, SLC Validation, and QA to drive adoption of compliant approaches for Computer Systems Verification and Validation (CSV).
- Mentor and develop Tech Ops personnel to build capability and understanding of automation strategies and digital applications; foster continuous improvement.
Qualifications / Skills
- B.S. in engineering or related scientific discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- In-depth understanding of automation tools, including liquid handling robotics, for analytic and process development.
- Excellent collaboration and communication; ability to develop and implement solutions with broad partner groups.
- Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies and relevant fields.
- Initiative, creativity, and innovation in problem solving.
- Ability to influence at all organization levels to drive transformational change.
