Director of Strategic Account Management — Northwest/Southwest Region (major oncology accounts).
How you will contribute
- Develop and execute account-level business plans for targeted GPO member accounts.
- Identify key GPO stakeholders and build relationships across internal/external functions.
- Lead cross-functional partners’ activities at targeted accounts; provide guidance for company-wide and franchise opportunities.
- Use proactive methods to understand integrated customer accounts, models, financial dynamics, market trends, competition, healthcare policy, and Takeda strategies/processes.
- Assess key regional/national oncology GPO clients; identify and pursue new customers/organizations.
- Engage strategically to position Takeda Oncology as a preferred partner.
Accountabilities
- Partner with internal matrix teams to deliver company initiatives.
- Build long-term relationships with healthcare population-based decision makers.
- Develop strategy/plans for product/portfolio growth of strategic accounts.
- Streamline engagements, identify opportunities, and maximize resources.
- Build credibility via deep account/business/industry understanding.
- Identify partnership opportunities; collaborate across engagement lifecycle; maintain fluency of Takeda Oncology portfolio.
- Mentor individuals transitioning into Access Account Management.
Basic requirements/qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; 10+ years industry experience.
- PharmD or MBA preferred.
- 2+ years oncology Network Accounts/IDNs or specialty GPO account experience (in-office + medically integrated dispensing).
- 2+ years oncology field sales leadership experience in matrix environments.
- 3+ years oncology account management knowledge (marketplace/access influencers/community oncology).
- Strong customer orientation, networking, cross-functional leadership; B2B access value desired.
Travel: 70%.
Compensation/benefits (if applicable): Base salary range $195,800–$269,170; may include incentives and medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and well-being benefits; up to 80 hours sick time and up to 120 hours vacation for new hires.
