Director of Strategic Account Management (Northwest/Southwest Region Major Oncology Accounts)
How you will contribute
- Develop and execute account-level business plans for targeted GPO member accounts aligned to Takedaโs commercial goals.
- Identify key GPO stakeholders and decision-makers across functions and management levels (internal/external).
- Lead approved cross-functional activities within targeted accounts; provide guidance on company-wide/franchise opportunities.
- Gather and demonstrate understanding of integrated customer accounts, business models, financial dynamics, marketplace trends, competitive strategies, healthcare policy, and Takeda strategies/processes.
- Assess assigned regional/national oncology GPO clients; identify new customers/organizations and build relationships with leadership.
- Engage strategically to position Takeda Oncology as a preferred partner for current and future portfolio initiatives.
Accountabilities
- Partner with internal matrix teams to deliver company priorities.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare population-based decision makers.
- Develop strategy and plans for product/portfolio growth of key strategic accounts.
- Streamline engagements, identify opportunities, and maximize resources.
- Maintain in-depth account and industry knowledge; build credibility.
- Identify partnership opportunities and drive collaboration across engagement lifecycle.
- Maintain fluency of the Takeda Oncology portfolio; mentor individuals moving into Access Account Management.
Basic Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree (Business/Management/Marketing or related) + 10+ years industry experience.
- PharmD or MBA preferred.
- 2+ years experience with Oncology Network Accounts/IDNs or specialty GPO accounts with in-office and medically integrated dispensing.
- 2+ years Oncology Field Sales leadership in a matrix environment.
- 3+ years oncology account management knowledge (marketplace, access influencers, community oncology value/access/profitability).
- Strong customer orientation, networking, and B2B access/value experience desired.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and translate trends/channel dynamics into access programs.
Travel Expectations
- 70% travel.
