Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of comprehensive account strategies to drive access, value creation, profitable growth, profitability, revenue growth, and market share.
- Analyze and synthesize multi-source information to identify and prioritize business opportunities; apply frameworks and analytics.
- Co-develop with Alnylam leadership strategies, program objectives, and KPIs for regional accounts aligned to business and brand priorities.
- Prioritize solutions/programs and pull-through tactics; anticipate market/customer developments and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Partner with healthcare systems and organized customers to foster innovation through adoption of Alnylam products.
- Engage senior stakeholders to influence policies/decisions and support appropriate patient treatment journey navigation.
- Facilitate introduction of new products/indications with institutional stakeholders (including budget allocation).
- Strengthen strategic partnerships: maintain relationships with senior account stakeholders; negotiate/review/agree contracts; provide Voice of the Customer input.
- Support national account contracting/initiatives and measure/report value delivered.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (Accounting/Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent), ideally complemented by an MBA.
- 7+ years B2B selling in a life sciences environment.
- Account management experience with health systems and/or hospitals/IDNs.
Required/Preferred Skills:
- Executive presence; ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to C-suite.
- Expertise in market access/value models (e.g., value-based propositions, budget impact/cost effectiveness) and IDN environment (coverage/reimbursement, pricing/contracting, formulary, HTA).
- Strong analytical/critical thinking; synthesize qualitative/quantitative multi-source data to develop strategy.
- Mobilize cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Preferred: MBA; membership in relevant pharmaceutical associations.
