Responsibilities:
- Lead development of scientific narrative for rheumatology/dermatology indications (SLE, CLE), focusing on unmet needs, disease mechanisms, and therapeutic actions.
- Organize and execute scientific symposia at global medical congresses.
- Develop scientific/educational content for field medical personnel (e.g., βsymposia in a boxβ).
- Create training materials to support onboarding and ongoing education.
- Chair cross-functional working group to ensure alignment and content fitness-for-purpose.
- Collaborate with clinical development, HEOR, and publications leads to develop core narratives/content.
- Manage external medical communication vendors (review/approve SOWs and invoices).
- Maintain scientific credibility and accuracy for external-facing content.
- Ensure content appropriateness across markets/regions with regulatory/compliance considerations.
- Align content with scientific platform, strategic publication plan, and global medical strategy.
Qualifications:
- MD, PharmD, or PhD in a relevant life science field.
- 8+ years of Medical Affairs experience, including medical communications.
Required Skills:
- Proven scientific content development and narrative creation.
- Experience leading scientific symposia and educational initiatives.
- Exceptional project management; strong matrix collaboration; superior scientific acumen and communication.
Preferred Skills:
- Leadership in cross-functional project management.
- Vendor management and budget oversight.
- Medical communication agency experience.
