Principal Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of the new hire sales academy, including disease state, product, competitive, and selling skills curricula
- Build certification standards and assessments to validate new hire readiness prior to field deployment
- Partner to ensure seamless handoff from initial certification into ongoing field coaching and development
- Develop, maintain, and version-control the core sales training curriculum across live, virtual, and digital (LMS) formats
- Establish governance for updating curriculum content as label, competitive landscape, and clinical data evolve
- Manage the training content library and ensure alignment with approved, MLR/PRC-cleared materials
- Serve as liaison to Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Compliance for the professional promotion (MLR/PRC) review process
- Partner with Marketing to translate brand strategy and key messages into field-ready training and reinforcement materials
- Manage submission, tracking, and approval of training-related materials through the promotional review process
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of the January launch meeting; own design/execution of national sales meetings, POA meetings, and other large-group field events
- Partner with Sales Leadership, Marketing, and external vendors/agencies to ensure meetings are on-brand and operationally flawless
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, accurate, and compliant field communication; manage external training and learning technology vendors; provide regular updates on curriculum and review timelines
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus
- 10+ years pharma/biotech experience in sales training, curriculum design, or field enablement
- Prior people leadership experience preferred
- Prior experience supporting product launch/new hire academy/national sales meeting strongly preferred
- Direct experience navigating MLR/promotional review (PRC) and pharmaceutical compliance for field-facing content
- Cardiovascular and/or chronic care therapeutic experience preferred
- Strong project management; can manage multiple concurrent workstreams under launch timelines
- Familiarity with learning technologies and CRM-enabled training tools (e.g., Veeva, LMS platforms)
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; experience managing external agencies/vendors
- Builder mindset with high accountability, resourcefulness, and collaboration
Travel
- Up to 20% travel (frequently outside local area and overnight)
US Salary Range
- $175,000 - $190,000
