Position: Director, Regional Community Oncology Expert (RCOE) – East (remote; eastern US territory). Reports to Senior Director, Community Oncology Strategy and Head of CCC (USMA Oncology).
Core responsibilities:
- Co-develop Community Oncology strategy and lead Community Cancer Collective (CCC) efforts in territory; support cross-functional field matrix teams.
- Support education, research, and Medical Affairs data generation needs in US Community Oncology practices.
- Prepare/present scientific data internally and at external advisory boards; provide medical-scientific leadership at meetings with HCPs/patients.
- Co-create and initiate Real-World Evidence (RWE) plans/studies (including support for Trodelvy in breast cancer; potential expansion).
- Serve as educational resource/trainer (MSLs/MKALs); support grants and investigator-sponsored/collaborative studies.
- Lead/take part in scientific content editorial review; shepherd oncology medical assets through Medical Review Committee (MRC) process.
- Select CCC sites; develop relationships with opinion leaders; resolve field obstacles compliantly.
- Coordinate vendor/collaborator materials (e.g., CCC Playbook/newsletter/dashboard) and support oncology society community engagement planning.
- Adhere to applicable pharmaceutical codes, OIG guidelines, and Gilead policies.
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s + 12 yrs OR Master’s + 10 yrs OR PhD/PharmD + 8 yrs.
Preferred qualifications/skills:
- Advanced medical/scientific/clinical degree (e.g., PhD/MD/PharmD/NP/PA) with 8+ yrs industry/healthcare; Medical Affairs and oncology/community oncology experience.
- Strong strategy execution, communication/presentation, project management, analytical skills; FDA/ICH/GCP knowledge preferred; autonomy; travel up to 70%.
