Responsibilities:
- Deliver overall commercial strategy for PCS oncology assets by partnering with R&D, in-line commercial (US and international), and other stakeholders to plan commercialization across the Oncology pipeline and enable successful global product launches.
- Develop, champion, and communicate vision and compelling strategy to guide portfolio prioritization, asset strategies, and BD investments.
- Understand market and segment value drivers, growth opportunities, target product profiles, positioning, and revenue potential for multiple clinical-stage assets/indications; build winning portfolio value proposition plans and a strong P&L investment thesis.
- (Co)-lead tumor disease strategy teams for development of multiple assets within the same tumor (when applicable) with enterprise/portfolio mindset.
- Define and drive strategic value creation across the lifecycle with R&D and cross-functional partners.
- Partner with Global Medical Affairs and Pharma Development/Commercial leaders to develop scientific platforms and drive data generation for target label requirements and claims.
- Identify franchise value creation opportunities and drive novel approaches to accelerate commercialization and maximize value for patients and the company.
- Drive prioritization of key leverage points in treatment and develop behavioral objectives for stakeholder groups to define commercial strategy.
- Perform effective and transparent risk/opportunity/issue management.
- Initiate geo-strategy and indication prioritization; formulate reimbursement and access strategies.
- Build AbbVieβs Oncology network through scientific/academic KOL, payer, and patient advocacy relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree; advanced degree (MBA, Ph.D, or MD) preferred.
- 10β15+ years in pharmaceutical industry roles with progressive commercial leadership in marketing and/or sales; P&L ownership experience preferred (US or major markets).
- Successful launch experience preferred.
- Managed care experience preferred.
- Oncology therapeutic experience preferred.
- Global experience preferred.
- Ability to influence/manages complex internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong strategic marketing with structured approach plus scientific/clinical understanding.
- Strong financial/commercial acumen; understands P&L drivers; can develop investment and top-line sales forecasts.
- Executive presence and leadership; role model.
- Proven experience leading organizational change.
- Strong partnering skills; can lead multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed organization.
- Proven record coaching/leading teams and developing talent.
