Summary:
Patient Safety Medical Review Physician (MD) providing medical leadership and oversight of individual case safety report review activities across marketed and investigational products to deliver timely, high-quality medical safety assessments supporting patient safety, benefit-risk evaluation, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an expert on medical safety assessment of individual cases and line listings.
- Perform peer retrospective medical review quality control (MRQC) activities.
- Respond to medical review-related questions from other functions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with global safety leads/strategy leads on assessment and communication of suspected unexpected, serious adverse reactions (SUSARs).
- Provide ad hoc medical consultation to Patient Safety Strategic Operations (Literature Management, Coding Strategy, Auto labeling Management).
- Contribute to development/refinement of medical review processes, standards, practices, efficiencies, and capabilities.
- Lead or maintain procedural documents and provide training.
- Support internal/external audit and inspection; participate in educational initiatives.
- Contribute to patient-safety process improvement (adverse event processing/operations).
- Initiate/lead/contribute to functional or cross-functional projects.
- Ensure work complies with policies/processes and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and train junior staff/new hires/contractors to independently review adverse event reports.

Basic Qualifications:
- MD/DO degree or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Accredited medical/surgical residency completion; board certification preferred.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in medical review OR applicable pharmaceutical-industry role with strong global regulatory knowledge.
- Strong scientific/clinical/analytical knowledge; excellent communication, collaboration, and project management; high attention to detail, scientific rigor, proactive solutions mindset.

Benefits/Compensation:
- Salary range: $243,100.00 - $314,600.00. Eligible for discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance).
