The Director, Patient Advocacy serves as a strategic leader within the Patient Affairs organization, shaping and advancing advocacy strategies that deepen Sarepta’s partnerships with patient communities and integrate patient perspectives across business and development priorities. Reporting to the Senior Director, Patient Advocacy.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of Sarepta’s patient advocacy strategy, aligned with enterprise priorities and community needs.
- Build, strengthen, and sustain strategic partnerships with patient advocacy organizations and key stakeholders.
- Advise cross-functional internal teams to ensure patient and caregiver perspectives are incorporated into planning and decision-making.
- Identify, synthesize, and translate patient and caregiver insights into actionable recommendations for business and patient-centered initiatives.
- Identify and foster opportunities for collaboration with patient organizations.
- Ensure interactions with patients, caregivers, and advocates adhere to internal and external compliance requirements.
- Monitor healthcare, advocacy, and rare disease landscapes for emerging trends and opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in life sciences, public health, healthcare, communications, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years progressive experience in healthcare/biotech/pharma/patient advocacy/public affairs; proven advocacy strategy and cross-functional influence.
- 8+ years in patient advocacy/public affairs/stakeholder engagement with rare disease partnership experience.
- Ability to translate patient/caregiver insights into strategic recommendations.
- Strong independence, judgment, strategic planning, risk mitigation, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel 30–40%, including weekends.

Work/Compensation & Application:
- Hybrid; on-site at U.S. facilities and occasional in-person events.
- Targeted salary range: $185,600–$232,000 per year. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
