Director, Patient Access & Reimbursement

Role: Director, Patient Access & Reimbursement at Abeona Therapeutics, focused on optimizing reimbursement and access for cell and gene therapies. Responsibilities: serve as primary liaison with HUB provider, payers, and care centers; develop strategies to minimize reimbursement barriers; engage with payer accounts pre- and post-approval; provide payer education and health economic data; monitor reimbursement trends, manage relationships with commercial and government payers, and support market access objectives. Qualifications: BS/BA in Business, Pharmacy, or Biologic Science; 12+ years in pharma/biotech, with 10+ years in complex reimbursement, payer relations, and market access; experience with rare, cell, or gene therapies preferred; deep knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies; proven leadership and strategic relationship skills. High-Value: rare disease and cell/gene therapy experience, extensive travel (~50%), national scope, expertise with payers managing medical policy and reimbursement processes, including Buy and Bill and specialty pharmacy. WorkSetup: travel-intensive, primarily field-based within the U.S.
