Role Responsibilities:
- Own a portfolio of Oncology strategic initiatives; define objectives, success metrics, interdependencies, and milestones.
- Lead cross-functional workstreams with clear charters and operating cadence.
- Drive decision quality by structuring complex problems, developing scenarios, and facilitating executive decision-making.
- Establish governance and business rhythm (e.g., steering committees, decision reviews, initiative KPIs) for transparency and timely escalations.
- Create execution roadmaps, remove blockers, and coordinate with functional owners and/or external partners.
- Champion change management and communications to build buy-in and adoption.
- Influence without authority through trusted relationships and alignment to shared outcomes.
- Synthesize cross-program data, surface patterns, recommend course corrections, and codify/scale best practices.
- Uphold compliance and quality standards; may lead a small specialized team of ~AI professionals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in life sciences, engineering, business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA/MS/PharmD/PhD) preferred.
- 10+ years in strategy execution, program/portfolio management, or operations in biopharma/healthcare.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority; track record delivering measurable outcomes under ambiguity.
- Strong structured problem-solving, financial/analytical skills, and executive-ready communication.
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from discovery through execution.
Preferred:
- Top-tier management consulting experience (e.g., MBB) focused on biopharma/oncology strategy or transformation.
- Direct Oncology experience across functions (Clinical Development, Medical, Commercial, Regulatory).
- Experience assessing/leading AI initiatives in life sciences.
- Knowledge of the Chinese biotech ecosystem.
- Ability to scale pilot projects to broader solutions.
Travel: Up to 20% business travel.
