Role Responsibilities:
- Own a portfolio of Oncology strategic initiatives; define objectives, success metrics, interdependencies, and milestones.
- Lead cross-functional workstreams with clear charters and operating cadence.
- Drive decision quality by structuring complex problems, developing scenarios, and facilitating executive decision-making.
- Establish governance and business rhythm (e.g., steering committees, decision reviews, initiative KPIs) for transparency and timely escalations.
- Create execution roadmaps, remove blockers, and coordinate with functional owners and/or external partners to deliver outcomes.
- Champion change management and communications to build buy-in and adoption.
- Influence without authority via trusted relationships and alignment to shared outcomes.
- Synthesize cross-program data, surface patterns, and recommend course corrections.
- Codify and scale best practices; continuously improve initiative management methods and tools.
- Uphold compliance and quality standards across initiative activities.
- May lead a small team (~AI professionals).
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (life sciences, engineering, business, or related); advanced degree (MBA/MS/PharmD/PhD) plus.
- 10+ years in strategy execution, program/portfolio management, or operations in biopharma/healthcare.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Track record delivering measurable outcomes under ambiguity.
- Strong structured problem-solving, analytical/financial skills, executive communication.
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from discovery through execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Management consulting experience (e.g., MBB) focused on biopharma/oncology strategy and/or transformation.
- Oncology experience across functions (Clinical Development, Medical, Commercial, Regulatory).
- Experience assessing/leading AI initiatives in life sciences.
- Knowledge of the Chinese biotech ecosystem.
- Ability to scale pilot projects into broader solutions.
Travel:
- Up to 20% business travel.
Compensation/Benefits (if applicable):
- Base salary: $176,600β$294,300; bonus target 20%; eligible for share-based long-term incentive; 401(k) with match + retirement contribution; paid vacation/holidays/personal days; caregiver/parental and medical leave; medical/prescription/dental/vision coverage; relocation assistance may be available.
