Director of Learning and Development (EMD / Sleep)

Responsibilities:
- Own EMD/Sleep L&D strategy, translating business needs into prioritized learning programs and measurable outcomes.
- Lead needs assessment; define learning requirements, roadmaps, and success measures.
- Oversee design, delivery, and facilitation of training (onboarding, launch readiness, key account excellence, skill building, mindset reinforcement) to improve field effectiveness.
- Ensure high-quality, reliable trainings; measure and monitor effectiveness and use stakeholder feedback to continuously improve.
- Partner with EMD/Sleep franchise and functional leaders to translate disease strategies and capability needs into role-based learnings.
- Build and lead a scalable high-performing team; manage performance and develop talent.
- Represent EMD/Sleep L&D in cross-functional forums and L&D planning discussions.
- Steward regulatory firewalls between Commercial and Medical Affairs L&D initiatives to ensure compliance.

Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, technology, or related field.
- 10+ years learning & development/capability building or commercial excellence in pharma.
- 6–8 years leading people; experience leading teams with Senior Manager/Associate Director-level accountability.
- Preferred: MBA/advanced degree; healthcare/pharma regulated experience; rare disease/specialty brand experience; Sleep and/or Epilepsy experience.

Skills:
- Adult learning, instructional design, and program development; learning agility; systems thinking; matrix/cross-functional collaboration; adoption of new tools/ways of working.

Working Requirements:
- 30–40% travel.

US Benefits/Comp (if eligible): Base pay range $184,000–$276,000; may be eligible for bonus/incentive, discretionary equity, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and flexible paid vacation.
