The Position
Director of Consumer Models & Strategy leads the development of Novo Nordisk’s enterprise consumer strategy and turns consumer ambitions into a clear, actionable roadmap. Leads the Consumer Partnerships capability using external partnerships to extend the consumer ecosystem, accelerate access to new capabilities, and create new value for consumers. Creates a coherent future view by integrating market dynamics, consumer behavior, competitive developments, emerging channels, and internal priorities—translating it into decisions, initiatives, and milestones.

Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve enterprise consumer strategy across the portfolio (long-term ambition, strategic choices, priorities).
- Translate ambition into a multi-year, actionable consumer roadmap with initiatives, sequencing, dependencies, decision points, and progress measures.
- Prioritize consumer opportunities balancing near-term needs with long-term competitive advantage capabilities/models.
- Develop consumer business models, routes to market, and value creation approaches (build/partner/test/scale).
- Lead Consumer Partnerships team and define partnership strategy aligned to the roadmap.
- Build portfolio-level strategy across brands/therapeutic areas to create shared capabilities and durable consumer relationships.
- Turn strategy into execution via initiatives and workstreams with accountable teams.
- Design and run strategic pilots to generate learning that informs roadmap decisions.
- Build senior stakeholder alignment on ambition, priorities, partnership agenda, and roadmap.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team; foster strategic rigor, collaboration, external orientation, and action bias.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Economics, Strategy, or Analytics; MBA or master’s preferred.
- 10+ years in consumer/business or corporate strategy, business development, or growth leadership (operating roles).
- 6+ years leading teams; building/reshaping strategy or partnerships functions.
- Track record turning strategy into an executed, funded roadmap.
- Experience designing/launching new consumer business models, channels, or routes to market.
- Experience sourcing/structuring/managing commercial partnerships through signed agreements and live operation.
- Experience shaping investment cases with Finance (unit economics, CAC/LTV, payback).
- Ability to navigate shared ownership and resolve without escalation.
- Familiarity with US healthcare access (commercial/public insurance, cash-pay, direct) valued.
