Position Summary
- Establish and lead a team of Molecular Science Liaisons (MSLs). Communicate the value of Caris Molecular Intelligence (CMI) to external clients (e.g., physicians, scientists, and oncology KOLs) through face-to-face interactions.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of the MSL team; recommend national staffing plans.
- Create and coordinate training/enablement to keep MSLs up to date on company technology.
- Track MSL activity and customer interactions.
- Ensure MSLs can: serve as conduit between medical community and Caris on products/needs; conduct medical/scientific education; present clinical data at physician sites/conferences; attend POA/commercial pitch and relationship meetings; promote CMI nationwide; support/present at molecular tumor boards; read/understand scientific literature; assist with special projects; assist with field training for contracted speakers; function as field trainer; deliver regional speaking engagements; attend regional/national tradeshows and sales meetings; provide commercial input/review of marketing materials.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.D. in a biological science related to pharmacology, cancer biology, or molecular/cellular biology (or equivalent).
- 3+ years of management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial atmosphere experience (e.g., pharmaceuticals/commercial lab); prior customer/sales field experience.
- Creative problem-solving, sound judgment, self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter in fast-paced deadline-driven environment; Microsoft Office Suite/Internet proficiency.
- Results focus (service/quality/continuous improvement), strong verbal/written communication, teamwork, customer service focus.
