Position Summary
The Director - Molecular Science Liaisons will establish and lead a team of Molecular Science Liaisons (MSLs) who communicate the value of Caris Molecular Intelligence (CMI) to external clients (physicians, scientists, and other interested parties), primarily through face-to-face discussions with customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in oncology.
Job Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of the MSL team.
- Provide recommendations on national staffing plans.
- Create and coordinate the training and enablement plan for up-to-date education on company technology.
- Track MSL activity and customer interactions.
- Serve as a feedback conduit between the medical community and Caris Life Sciences on current products and medical needs.
- Conduct medical and scientific education to increase presence and market awareness.
- Present clinical data/educational materials to physician sites and/or conferences regionally or nationally.
- Attend POA/Commercial pitch meetings and onsite relationship-building meetings.
- Promote CMI to physician sites across the United States.
- Support and present at molecular tumor board meetings.
- Read/understand scientific and technical literature for customer engagement.
- Assist with related duties/special projects; support contracted speakers; function as field trainer.
- Deliver regional speaking engagements; attend select regional/national tradeshows and sales meetings; provide commercial input/review of marketing materials.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.D. in a biological science related to pharmacology, cancer biology, or molecular and cellular biology (or equivalent training/experience).
- 3+ years of management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial experience (e.g., pharmaceuticals or commercial lab) and/or prior customer/sales organization field experience.
- Creative, independent judgment; self-motivated; strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet.
