Position Summary:
The Director - Molecular Science Liaisons will establish and lead a team of Molecular Science Liaisons (MSLs). MSLs communicate the value of Caris Molecular Intelligence (CMI) to external clients (physicians, scientists, and interested parties), primarily through face-to-face discussions with customers, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in oncology.
Job Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of the MSL team
- Recommend national staffing plans
- Create and coordinate MSL training and enablement plans
- Track MSL activity and customer interactions
- Serve as a conduit between the medical community and Caris regarding products and community needs to enhance patient care, research, clinical trials, and therapeutic approaches
- Conduct medical and scientific education for the field organization to increase company presence and market awareness
- Present clinical data and educational materials to physician sites and/or conferences locally and nationally
- Attend POA/Commercial pitch meetings and other onsite relationship meetings
- Promote CMI to physician sites across the U.S.
- Support and present at molecular tumor board meetings
- Read and understand scientific/technical literature for customer engagement
- Assist with related duties and special projects; support Caris Speakerβs Bureau and serve as field trainer
- Participate in regional speaking engagements, select tradeshows, and sales meetings; provide commercial input/review of marketing materials
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or M.D. in a biological science related to pharmacology, cancer biology, or molecular/cellular biology (or equivalent)
- 3+ years of management experience
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Commercial experience (pharma or commercial lab) and field experience with customers/sales
- Creative problem-solving; independent judgment
- Self-motivation; strong interpersonal skills
- Self-starter; able to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet
- Drive for Results (Service, Quality, Continuous Improvement)
- Strong verbal and written communication; teamwork
- Customer service focus

- Valid driverβs license and willingness to travel regularly
