Medical Affairs
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a 6-person Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team; provide strategic direction, coaching/feedback, and performance management.
- Act as βplayer-coachβ primary MSL for a small, dedicated territory (geography TBD), maintaining active engagement with KOLs and HCPs.
- Develop and execute scientific interaction/stakeholder engagement plans for Plastics & Regenerative Medicine (on-market and pipeline), using clinical/market trend analysis to support business objectives.
- Coordinate and ensure high-quality scientific interactions with external experts (EEs) and HCPs; integrate MSL activities with broader in-field plans.
- Support Brand Team Meetings with field medical insights and ensure MSL use of technology (CRM, virtual engagement tools, P2P).
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, training, and internal scientific support (e.g., sales training).
- Manage field readiness (including OR certifications), resolve tool/resource gaps, and oversee operational logistics (MSL tool management, vendor contracting).
- Maintain up-to-date therapeutic/scientific narratives and key study data to coach the team.
- Handle overall MSL team financial/administrative management (expense review/approval) and day-to-day operational logistics.
Qualifications/Required/Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree in health sciences/clinical discipline required; preferred Doctorate (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD).
- 5+ years clinical/scientific/research/pharma experience; at least 2 years as an MSL.
- Strong medical affairs knowledge; solid cross-functional collaboration.
- Preferred: prior line management of field MSLs; experience as player-coach/working manager.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills (local language and English preferred).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects; experience resolving personnel issues.
- Regular travel ~50β60%.
- Strongly preferred: OR/surgical suite experience and familiarity with credentialing/OR certification processes.
