Director, Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Pain, US

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, execute, monitor & adapt independent US MSL Stakeholder Engagement Plans for target KOLs/HCPs, aligned with the US Pain MSL Team Lead and US Pain Medical Lead.
- Receive support/direction for asset-/disease state-level MSL activities (business travel, HCP interactions, congress attendance).
- Provide a monthly written summary of day-to-day activities and achievements to the US Pain MSL Team Lead.
- Submit expense reports and PTO/vacation requests timely; document HCP interactions in Veeva.
- Respond with reactive medical communications to Unsolicited Medical Requests (UMRs).
- Identify and communicate internally rival Medical Affairs activities with target KOLs/HCPs.
- Identify and communicate unmet medical education needs; share difficult concepts and negotiate internally.
- Partner to develop independent, new, innovative, nonpromotional, proactive/reactive medical education materials (e.g., slide decks, videos).
- Gather and communicate KOL insights to inform independent US Medical and/or overarching company strategy.
- Develop independent Ad Board, Congress & Customer Insight Reports.
- Staff independent Medical Affairs booths at congresses/conventions.
- Provide training to internal functions using materials approved by MRC or Viatris VMap as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech/clinical (hospital/patient care) industry; MD preferred; Pain Management experience required (or combination of education/experience considered).
- Knowledge of US MSL roles/responsibilities, clinical trials, therapeutic areas; SOPs; U.S. HCP interaction standards; federal/state promotional laws; PhRMA Code; ACCME Standards; Code of Business Conduct & Ethics.

Required/Preferred Skills:
- Ability to communicate and manage relationships with KOLs, medical professionals, academic institutions, and Patient Advocacy Groups; strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Actively listen for stakeholder insights and draw implications for Viatris.
- High accountability; set and accomplish goals individually and in teams.
- Comfortable with change; motivated; embraces DEI.
- Preference for candidates residing within/near designated territory.
- US Remote; extensive travel 50%–80% (may change); English proficiency.

Compensation:
- Salary range: $112,000–$236,000 USD (exact compensation varies by skills, experience, location).
