Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of epilepsy Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs); set objectives, performance expectations, and individual development plans.
- Build and scale Field Medical organization (workforce planning, succession planning, talent assessment, onboarding, capability development).
- Establish field medical operating standards and excellence frameworks.
- Lead territory design, resource allocation, and organizational planning for pre-launch and launch.
- Translate Medical Affairs strategy into an actionable field medical plan (engagement priorities, scientific objectives, team success metrics).
- Oversee KOL/center engagement strategy, territory alignment, and account planning across priority academic and community neurology centers.
- Ensure accurate, balanced, compliant scientific exchange on disease state, clinical data, and relutrigine clinical profile.
- Build launch readiness (onboarding, scientific training, field coaching).
- Aggregate and elevate field insights to inform strategy; report field medical activity and impact.
- Partner cross-functionally; represent Field Medical Affairs at scientific congresses and governance forums.
- Manage field medical operations (CRM, metrics/reporting) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, SOPs, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- PharmD/PhD/MD (or NP/PA/RN with relevant experience).
- Substantial Medical Affairs/MSL experience in biotech/pharma with people leadership or field management.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams; establishing pre-launch/launch field models.
- Strong scientific acumen; ability to translate strategy into measurable execution.
- Neurology/CNS experience required; rare/genetic epilepsy strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting Market Access (managed care/payer/reimbursement).
- Strong leadership, influence, communication; ability to manage budgets/headcount.
- Travel up to ~75%.
