The Position
- Provide field coaching, mentorship, and management to field-based Medical Liaisons.
- Develop and implement strategies aligned to territory archetypes to manage key providers/academic institutions/IDNs and deliver timely, up-to-date scientific information aligned to the NNI patient value framework.
- Ensure personal development of the team; collaborate with other NNI units/personnel.
- Provide administrative and management support for the field-based FMA Program (Novo Nordisk Inc.).
- Ensure full compliance with all laws, regulations, and policies.
- Establish operating policies/procedures; develop budgets, schedules, and performance standards; use analytics/healthcare provider need for region/territory prioritization.

Essential Functions
- Lead and coordinate FMA activities at medical/scientific meetings; maintain knowledge of products, research, publications; support appropriate use of products and respond to physician questions.
- Provide industry insight to Marketing/Sales; profile/identify key investigators for clinical trials; review/audit expense reports; manage time/activity (OSS); review/channel information to support Medical Liaisons.
- Assist cross-functionally with education using PRB-approved resources; support Pre-POA/POA and other meetings.
- Recruit/select staff; set/review annual goals and coach via IDPs; communicate policies/procedures; evaluate ML performance and mentor leaders.
- Spend field time coaching direct reports; conduct workforce assessments for talent/gaps.

Physical Requirements
- 50–75% overnight travel.

Qualifications
- 2–3+ years Medical Liaison (or equivalent) experience (required).
- 6+ years management experience, including 2+ years leading field medical affairs personnel (internal FAD may substitute) (required).
- 8+ years progressive pharmaceutical industry experience; 3+ years in a healthcare system preferred.
- Advanced healthcare/science degree (DO, MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP) (required).
- Preferred: direct therapeutic area experience (e.g., hematology, diabetes, endocrinology).
- Strong relationship-building with opinion leaders and organized providers; cross-functional collaborative leadership.
