About the Role
Provides strategic leadership for assigned Medical Affairs priorities, programs, or capabilities. Partners across Medical Affairs and with cross-functional stakeholders to translate medical strategy into coordinated plans, high-quality execution, and measurable impact. Maintains visibility across priorities and activities, identifies opportunities and risks, and strengthens alignment, collaboration, communication, and consistent ways of working. May lead initiatives across scientific engagement, evidence generation, medical communications, field medical, lifecycle planning, organizational effectiveness, or other Medical Affairs responsibilities, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Your Contributions
- Partner with Medical Affairs leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to develop, align, and execute Medical Affairs strategies, plans, and priorities
- Lead complex programs/initiatives from planning through implementation (objectives, roles, timelines, risks, measures of success)
- Translate scientific, clinical, business, and organizational information into actionable recommendations
- Drive improvements in alignment, collaboration, communication, accountability, and execution across Medical Affairs
- Establish and continuously improve processes, governance, tools, and ways of working
- Identify and address opportunities to strengthen capabilities and reduce inefficiencies
- Build trusted partnerships and influence without direct authority to resolve complex issues
- Manage budgets, vendors, resources, deliverables, and performance measures
- Ensure Medical Affairs activities/materials comply with laws, regulations, standards, and company policies
- May lead/coaching and development for employees/contractors/project teams
Requirements
- BS/BA + 12+ years relevant experience OR Masterβs + 10+ years OR PhD + 8+ years
- Ability to develop/execute strategy and lead complex initiatives in a matrixed environment
- In-depth scientific/business expertise; strong literature research and medical data interpretation
- Excellent verbal/written communication; ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations
- Knowledge of legal/regulatory guidelines for medical information/product promotion
- Strong leadership, influence, facilitation, stakeholder management, change management, and cross-functional collaboration
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $206,900.00β$282,000.00; annual bonus (target 35%) and equity long-term incentive eligibility
