Job Overview
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Medical Affairs across the Americas to ensure safe, compliant, and effective generation and communication of scientific and clinical evidence for orthopedic products.

Responsibilities
- Lead and execute regional Medical Affairs strategy aligned to global medical strategy and regional business priorities.
- Provide scientific/clinical leadership for marketed and pipeline orthopedic products; ensure accurate, compliant medical communications.
- Oversee evidence generation (clinical studies, registries, post-market surveillance, and real-world evidence).
- Build relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and professional societies.
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Marketing, and Commercial.
- Ensure Medical Affairs activities comply with laws, regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards.
- Lead/develop a high-performing regional Medical Affairs team.
- Provide medical input into risk management, safety surveillance, and issue management.

Qualifications
- Required: MD/PharmD/PhD (or equivalent life sciences).
- Typically 10–12 years Medical Affairs experience (pharma/medical device) with regional/multi-country leadership.
- People leadership experience managing managers/senior professionals.
- Strong regulatory, compliance, and ethical knowledge.
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management.
- Preferred: Orthopedics/musculoskeletal experience; leadership across Latin America & North America; evidence generation/medical strategy/engagement; cross-functional collaboration; represent org in scientific forums.
