Position Summary
- Design and execute world-class marketing training to equip marketers for the future of healthcare marketing.
- Drive transformation of marketer capabilities, ways of working, and organizational effectiveness by advancing modern marketing practices, accelerating AI adoption, and building skills for a digital, data-driven, customer-centric environment.
- Lead a marketing capability team and implement a comprehensive capability-building strategy across all organization levels.
- Partner with Commercial leadership, Brand teams, Medical/Health Impact, Business Technology Solutions, Digital Lab+, Analytics & Performance Excellence, Learning & Development, and international stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Marketing Competency Strategy
- Develop and execute long-term marketing competencies; establish competency frameworks, learning pathways, and capability roadmaps.
- Monitor industry trends and translate them into competency-building initiatives.
- Define future-state competency model for a digital and AI-enabled landscape; guide readiness for new operating models.
- Advise Commercial leadership on marketing competency development.
AI & Future Ways of Working
- Integrate AI into competency programs; establish AI literacy programs (generative AI, predictive analytics, automation, emerging tech).
- Foster experimentation, continuous learning, and innovation.
Marketing Excellence & Learning Leadership
- Design, execute, and evolve the marketing training curriculum.
- Oversee onboarding and advanced competency development.
- Ensure learning is modern, engaging, measurable, and aligned to adult learning; create career-stage learning journeys.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness via metrics and business outcomes.
Organizational Transformation & Change Leadership
- Influence adoption of new frameworks, tools, technologies, and operating models.
- Identify barriers and develop solutions; develop communication strategies for sustained behavior change.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead/coach/develop the training team; set objectives, performance expectations, and career pathways; manage resources.
- Build trusted partnerships; influence senior leaders across therapeutic areas/business units; collaborate internationally; leverage internal/external expertise.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelorβs degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Learning & Development, or related field.
- 12+ years in marketing, capability development, organizational effectiveness, or related.
- Demonstrated leadership and talent development.
- Proven success building enterprise-wide capability strategies.
- Deep understanding of customer-centric marketing, omnichannel engagement, and digital transformation.
- Executive presence to influence senior leaders in a matrixed organization.
- Experience leading large-scale change and transformation.
Preferred
- Advanced degree (MBA or related).
- Experience applying AI/emerging technologies to marketing workflows and commercial operations.
- Pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare experience.
- Experience partnering globally with complex stakeholder networks.
