POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director, Market Research & Insights leads the strategy, development, execution, and communication of market research and insight-generation capabilities that enable customer-centered, evidence-based decision making across the commercial organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and lead the market research and insights strategy aligned with commercial priorities and brand objectives.
- Oversee primary market research (HCPs, caregivers, patients, and key stakeholders) and secondary research/insight development (patient/customer behavior, market dynamics, performance trends).
- Define key business questions and research objectives; ensure appropriate methodology, execution quality, and strategic interpretation.
- Translate findings into recommendations for senior leadership and drive application of insights into commercial strategy.
- Lead and manage external market research/vendor partnerships (quality deliverables, budget accountability, alignment).
- Partner with Marketing on customer insights and HCP/Patient Journey development (behaviors, decision drivers, barriers, engagement opportunities).
- Co-lead cross-functional Situational Analysis integrating data sources and interpreting customer insights for product performance, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Apply AI-enabled market research and generative AI (insight generation, literature review, survey analysis, reporting) with data quality/compliance.
- Use emerging AI methods in pharma market research (LLMs, ML, NLP) to evaluate/integrate/optimize AI-driven methodologies.
- Partner with Enterprise Analytics, Sales, and Marketing to define/evolve brand and sales force KPIs.
- Establish frameworks/processes to improve insight generation, research effectiveness, reporting clarity, and decision making.
- Communicate insights and recommendations; lead complex cross-functional initiatives and manage competing priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MS or related field preferred.
- 10+ years progressive experience in market research/commercial insights (pharma/biotech/healthcare).
- Experience influencing senior leaders; strong primary/secondary research and competitive intelligence/performance analytics.
- Experience managing external vendors, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong executive communication skills.

Pay Range: $218,000–$262,000 USD
