Role: Director, U.S. Market Access Strategy for Neurology
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies/tactics to secure and maintain optimal reimbursement and market access for gMG and future Neurology indications.
- Co-lead and align annual U.S. and global payer/HTA strategic plans; translate U.S. launch/access findings to inform global strategy and vice versa.
- Lead payer and key partner market access research initiatives and translate insights into portfolio-level investment recommendations.
- Lead indication initiatives: payer value story, field training/pull-through programs, clinical and economic customer education materials, and market access programs.
- Implement short- and long-term payer/HTA strategies supporting marketing efforts.
- Develop field-level data tools/analytics to enhance local business planning and execution.
- Manage promotional budgets and define/track ROI metrics for key initiatives.
- Manage internal processes (promotional review committee submissions, advisory board coordination).
- Provide market access strategy input into pipeline and business development/licensing due diligence.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (brand marketing, sales/field reimbursement, patient support, HEOR, medical/market research, trade, account management, new product development) to ensure alignment with payer workstreams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree minimum; MBA/MHA or graduate degree (e.g., PharmD) preferred.
- 12+ years progressive industry experience.
- 7+ years in market access, payer account management, brand marketing, field sales/reimbursement management, or HEOR preferred; 3+ years in market access strategy and payer marketing strongly preferred.
- Managed care health plan or PBM experience highly desirable.
- Strong payer and HTA landscape knowledge and current trends.
- Neurology/rare disease/neuromuscular experience strongly preferred; gMG experience a plus.
- Specialty product/specialty launch experience required.
- Knowledge of patient/physician hub services and specialty pharmacy networks a plus.
- Strong leadership and ability to influence internal/affiliate decision-makers.
