Role Summary
The Director, HCP Marketing - DMD, leads the development and execution of HCP-focused strategies and initiatives for care providers treating Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), driving HCP engagement programs that support successful market entry and long-term adoption.
Primary Responsibilities
- Own DMD HCP strategy and execution from pre-launch through launch and beyond; develop and deliver an annual HCP plan aligned with Brand Strategy.
- Define HCP segmentation and map priority behaviors across adoption stages; develop sequenced engagement strategies via coordinated messaging and channel optimization.
- Translate clinical data/label into HCP message strategy and content priorities; contribute to evidence generation priorities.
- Own HCP omnichannel engagement strategy across personal and non-personal promotion; partner to execute and optimize across initiatives.
- Build closed-loop deployment models to test and learn which messages/channels resonate and refine journeys.
- Ensure HCP digital engagement generates actionable signals for next best actions across digital and field channels.
- Partner with Medical & Scientific Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Legal/Regulatory/Compliance to align HCP strategy.
- Provide strategic input into competitive readiness and scenario planning.
- Lead peer-to-peer education; support KOL engagement (e.g., congresses, advisory boards, speaker programs).
- Own end-to-end commercial congress strategy for priority meetings.
- Partner with research/analytics/omnichannel teams to translate insights into actions.
- Partner with agencies/internal teams to develop compliant content; use AI-enabled workflows where appropriate.
- Drive PRC execution for HCP materials and ensure regulatory/privacy/policy compliance.
Experience and Skills Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA/MPH preferred.
- 10+ years pharma/biotech marketing; 5+ years US HCP Marketing.
- Proven success leading launch-phase HCP marketing (specialty/rare disease).
- Neurology/neuromuscular/rare disease/accelerated approval experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to translate complex science into compliant HCP messaging.
- Strong strategy + hands-on execution; cross-functional leadership in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication/influence/stakeholder management.
- Entrepreneurial mindset; comfort building in first-launch environments.
- Early adopter of emerging technologies; comfortable piloting AI-enabled solutions.
- Travel up to 30% as needed.

MA Pay Range
$188,000 - $240,000 USD
