Discover Your Role:
- Develop and lead a team of Safety Scientists; partner with other Directors to drive standardization and consistency in signal detection activities.
- Report to ED, Global Patient Safety Sciences Delivery.
- Develop common practices, processes, and templates to standardize core activities (e.g., signal detection; safety document authoring sections) across products and TAs.
- Ensure compliance and quality management of Safety Sciences Delivery activities, including regulations, SOPs, and monitoring tools.
- Lead signal detection coordination and signal management across General Medicine (SMT, SSP, SER).
- Develop innovative approaches integrating new technologies.
- Analyze aggregate safety data to identify emerging safety issues and patterns with Safety Sciences Strategy.
- Support cross-functional coordination for timely, compliant benefit-risk assessments for periodic safety reports (DSURs, PSURs) and contribute Medical/Safety perspectives to GPS portfolio documents (ARM, RMP, SMP) where required.
- Drive training programs, maintaining standardized training curriculum, proficiency matrix, and knowledge repository.
- Serve as main point of contact with Safety Sciences Strategy General Medicine GPS Leads.
- Collaborate with Clinical, Regulatory, Med Affairs, Biostats & Data Management.
- Build/coach/scale team; drive succession planning and leadership development.
This Role Requires:
- Advanced degree in life sciences or healthcare; 12+ years of PV experience (preferably Safety Sciences and General Medicine).
- Strong attention to detail; ability to assess/optimize safety operations processes; ensure high-quality, compliant execution.
- Leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; organizational/workload planning; manage multiple projects.
Preferred:
- Oversight experience in a global patient safety organization.
- AI technologies experience.
- Matrix leadership and people management experience.
