Director, GPS Business Office β Global Patient Safety
Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the GPS vision and strategy aligned with enterprise goals.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the SVP of Global Patient Safety on PV strategy and operating model.
- Connect across GPS teams to enable execution of vision, strategy, and priorities.
- Lead GCC (Global Capabilities Center) strategy and governance (scope, resourcing, metrics) to expand PV capacity and drive outcomes.
- Develop annual GPS operating plans and strategic roadmaps.
- Drive operational excellence via benchmarking and continuous improvement.
- Partner with interfacing functions to enable PV operational alignment.
- Support goal setting, initiative tracking, and performance dashboards.
- Lead delivery of key GPS functional meetings (Leadership Team, All Hands, Mid-Year).
- Prepare and maintain regular GPS communications.
- Organize mid-year and year-end talent calibration with stakeholders and HRBPs.
- Establish operational portfolio forecasting for GPS (with RA GPS DQ Strategy/Ops and Portfolio Management).
- Lead resource planning/optimization (internal staffing, GCC expansion, vendor utilization) with partner functions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with DS&OE and LCoE.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (Advanced degree preferred); strong preference for life sciences/healthcare. 12+ years PV planning and operations experience in pharmaceuticals; experience overseeing operations in a global patient safety organization highly preferred.
- Proven leadership in constructive, goal-oriented environments; continuous improvement/innovation mindset.
- PV and Safety Risk Management expertise (end-to-end safety processes, regulatory expectations, cross-functional governance).
- Strong problem-solving and ability to βflexβ across complexity and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to drive results through cross-functional partnerships.
- Track record leading PV operational/planning initiatives including governance.
- Highly detail-oriented with accuracy/quality while maintaining strategic perspective.
Location/Work Requirements:
- Tarrytown, NY or Warren, NJ; 4 days per week on site; up to 25% travel.
