Key Responsibilities
- Own Medical Affairs technology strategy and portfolio; translate business priorities into an enterprise-aligned technology roadmap.
- Lead product/platform lifecycle management (roadmap, standards, architecture principles, governance) to ensure scalable, compliant, reusable capabilities aligned to enterprise strategy.
- Define and govern Medical Affairs data strategy with Data & AI (ingestion, integrations, reusable data assets, governed access, analytics enablement, measurement frameworks for insights, longitudinal analysis, RWE, and decision support).
- Enable connected, compliant scientific engagement by building technology/data foundations across MSL/MOSL engagement, scientific communications, medical information, medical web/digital, and omnichannel capabilities.
- Improve simplification and reuse by reducing fragmentation/manual work/siloed reporting; promote shared platforms and standardized data products.
- Partner on intake, prioritization, and cross-functional delivery; translate needs into roadmap decisions and measurable releases.
- Define and track adoption/performance/value realization (KPIs, usage and platform health monitoring) to demonstrate measurable impact.
- Govern operations/compliance/vendor performance to ensure platforms/data products are reliable, secure, auditable, and well-supported.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelorβs degree in a technical/business discipline.
- 10+ years in life sciences/Medical Affairs technology, platform leadership, digital product management, or related roles in regulated environments.
- Proven enterprise roadmap/lifecycle ownership for shared capabilities.
- Strong Medical Affairs knowledge (field medical, insights, medical info, scientific communications, omnichannel, KOL/HCP, and/or RWE).
- Experience with data platforms, integrations, analytics enablement, and data governance; effective partnership with Data & AI and enterprise tech.
- Ability to set priorities, standards, KPIs, governance mechanisms.
- Strong stakeholder/executive communication; influence in matrixed organizations.
- Experience coordinating vendors/MSPs/contractors (no direct people management).
- Strong regulated-industry compliance/privacy/security/documentation/auditability knowledge.
Preferred
- Advanced degree.
- Direct experience supporting Global Medical Affairs/scientific or evidence-based functions.
- Experience with CRM/engagement tools, medical information/communications, digital publishing, KOL planning, content management, or medical web platforms.
- Experience enabling AI-ready data products and decision-support.
- Global experience across regions/therapeutic areas and regulatory/privacy requirements.
