Brand Director, Global Marketing (Rare) β responsible for defining and driving the global brand strategy for OXLUMO and GIVLAARI, aligning global vision to local execution; leads cross-functional work to deliver insight-driven strategies that maximize patient impact, stakeholder engagement, and commercial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of OXLUMO and GIVLAARI global brand plans.
- Connect global strategy to local execution; lead cross-country/functional workshops.
- Use market research, competitive intelligence, and data analytics to inform plans and assess performance.
- Evolve messaging and strategy based on new insights.
- Translate strategy into global tactical plans and priorities.
- Own Rare Business tactical planning with medical affairs, key functions, and countries.
- Develop annual global budget and define trade-offs/priorities.
- Create global stakeholder engagement plan (Medical Affairs, Advocacy, countries; incl. Leadership engagement).
- Lead Global Conference planning with medical affairs, countries, and communications.
- Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Digital, Data & Insights to implement global initiatives.
- Orchestrate initiatives across medical, regulatory, legal, and compliance.
- Own Brand Board and Program initiatives; support capability development and best-practice sharing.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 10+ years global and U.S. pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience.
- MBA in Marketing (preferred).
- Strong strategic thinking and execution; cross-functional global team leadership.
- Deep rare disease market understanding (must have).
- Strong communication, stakeholder influence, and project management.
Success Profile:
- Strategic/forward-looking, collaborative/matrix-oriented, data-driven, ownership/accountability.
Location/Travel: Cambridge, MA; ~40% local/international travel.
Pay/Benefits (as stated): $208,300β$281,800 base; eligible for annual short-term incentive and annual long-term incentive. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, life/disability insurance, PTO and holidays, and 401(k) match.
