Role Summary
Director, Global Health Equity Delivery & Impact, Americas. Based in New Brunswick, NJ, leading a dedicated Americas team to advance transformational program solutions, catalyze grant-funding opportunities, and measure collective impact within Global Health Equity.
Responsibilities
- Leverage understanding of business priorities to implement Global Health Equity plans that expand healthcare worker reach, patient impact, and reputational outcomes.
- Act as convener and broker for social innovation and health impact through alliances and partnerships.
- Develop a dynamic regional strategy and roadmap aligned with Global Health Equity global strategy in collaboration with NA and Latam governance.
- Build trust in strategy and enhance Global Health Equity reputation in the region with current and prospective talent.
- Translate regional goals into tangible Global Health Equity strategies and activities to support growth and reputation.
- Advise commercial leadership, providing insights to influence business decisions and advance thought leadership.
- Manage issues on Global Health Equity investments and programs.
- Coordinate annual budgeting and multiyear forward planning for Global Health Equity.
- Manage a portfolio focused on high impact, scalable programs and identify cross-J&J opportunities regionally.
- Foster a culture of sharing, collaboration, local capacity building, and strategic information sharing among regional leads.
- Build internal and external relationships to drive integrated health equity strategy and impact.
- Represent Global Health Equity in cross-functional forums and externally to build trust and enhance J&Jβs reputation.
- Demonstrate the ability to translate complex messages into simple narratives and deliver key programs with collaborative leadership.
- Lead and model a world-class Delivery function across the Americas, with a metrics-backed approach.
- Improve communication capabilities of senior executives and expand the footprint of Global Health Equity in the region.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Masterβs degree preferred (MBA, MPA, MPH, LLM).
- Required Experience And Skills:
- Minimum 15 years of senior-level experience in Social Impact, Government Affairs, communications, public affairs or similar.
- Pharma experience.
- Experience mentoring and coaching diverse leaders.
- Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills; ability to partner with leaders at all levels.
- Creative, entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of turning critical thinking into action.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Ability to operate in a changing environment with multiple priorities; business leader mindset.
- Ability to attract, hire, and develop impactful teams; collaborative across the business.
- Strong executive presence and ability to interact with senior leaders; relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail; superior writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to drive workforce engagement and manage networks in a matrixed environment.
- Commercial acumen and ability to provide real-time counsel; experience managing budgets and resources on large projects.
- Preferred:
- Trilingual: English; Spanish and/or Portuguese.
