Objective:
Director, US Field Medical Readiness & Enablement—key member of the US Field Medical leadership team, driving departmental success through high standards of scientific engagement and medical impact.
Accountabilities:
- Onboarding/Training/Development: Develop and implement departmental standards/processes for onboarding, training, and competency assessment; design and deliver core skills/competencies training; collaborate with HR to deliver training for people leaders (coaching, executive presence, influence, matrix leadership).
- Innovation: Identify external innovation trends via industry association involvement; benchmark departmental performance; develop/oversee launch excellence framework/processes; develop/oversee research support framework/processes for compliant Takeda-sponsored research.
- Operations/Digital Tools & Systems/Internal Communications: Oversee KOL/HCP engagement monitoring framework; oversee annual external engagement planning/approval process; support SOPs/guidance; optimize adoption of data analytics and digital tools/systems (including AI); evolve insights capture/translation/communication; communicate CRM enhancement needs and collaborate on implementation; maintain communications plan and reporting templates/dashboards for activity metrics and impact.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum: Master’s degree in health sciences (e.g., MSN, NP, PA).
- Preferred: Doctoral degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent).
- 5+ years in pharmaceutical industry (Medical Affairs and Field Medical strongly preferred).
- Strategic/analytical thinking; innovation; project leadership; change implementation.
- Teamwork and ability to influence/work in matrix.
- Ability to manage, lead, and mentor.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organization; executive presence.
- Technology/analytics proficiency; digital tools including AI.
- Experience designing and implementing skills/competencies training.
- Vendor management experience (on time/on budget).
- Understanding of compliance/ethical/legal/regulatory guidelines.
